I am seeing many homeowners who choose carpet for rooms that will have a warm feel, such as a bedroom or media room. Also, homeowners seem to be choosing more neutral tones in carpeting. This is due in part to the popularity of darker-stained furniture. The neutral flooring creates a great contrast with the darker hues. For more formal rooms, hardwood flooring, especially solid bamboo flooring, is a popular choice.

What advice do you have for new homebuyers when
they are selecting upgrades for their home?

When homeowners are selecting upgrades, I advise them to
choose the best products that will fit within their budget. Upgrades are an investment for your home that adds to its overall value. If you choose to upgrade, you can then bring “top-shelf” products to the table when you sell.
